Register and join any time! 425-228-6800 Class Offered: Mommy & MeWith Mommy close by, students will learn the basics of ballet while engaging in hands-on movement activities essential to proper development in coordination, recognizing music and rhythms, counting and timing, and self-confidence. Students learn to stretch and dance through the use of exciting props. Moms love this opportunity to be a part of their child's education and get moving themselves! Ages 18 months – 3 years. Creative MovementCome dance, listen to music, move and use your imagination! This three-four year old class consists of movement with scarves, musical instruments, parachutes and more. Our class lets them develop their imagination, gives them physical awareness, and confidence. Level IThis is where students learn the beginning positions and steps of ballet vocabulary with active games using imagination, music and props. They improve their balance and coordination with more advanced ballet steps. Children use their creativity and learn to express themselves through dance. Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy classesThe Angelina Ballerina Dance classes follow and bring to life the adventures of Angelina Ballerina, a remarkable mouseling who is armed with grace, determination and an unquenchable zest for fun. Our classes are taught by our specialist instructors who will gently introduce your child to the world of dance and performance, through the fun and endearing Angelina Ballerina stories and music. More info ... Class ages 3-4 Level IIStudents are introduced to working at the ballet barre and begin the memorization of ballet vocabulary and combinations. The barre is where dancers begin class. This teaches technique, balance and muscle memory. Students begin to learn how a ballet class is configured and how to associate the movement to music. Level IIIStudents continue to build their ballet vocabulary and establish physical awareness of how to merge the vocabulary. They begin to expand their knowledge of movement allowing them to put more combinations together with more difficulty at the barre and in the center. Level IV Dancers in this level have the ability to work through a full ballet class. Within this class the students are learning some of the more difficult steps in dance. Students work more intensely at the barre and learn the different body facings/positions of ballet in the center floor work. Across the floor combinations are more advanced and introduce more challenging turns and leaps. Preparation for pointe work begins. This is an intermediate ballet class that focuses on building strength, increasing flexibility, coordination, and musicality. Advanced terminology is introduced in the center. Pointe work may begin at this level depending on the strength of the individual dancer. Level V At this level we continue to build on technique, focus on expression, musicality, building strength, and coordination, while continuing to introduce more advanced steps and combinations. Dancers will have gained the tools necessary to have a strong understanding of dance while working on and having a greater understanding of artistry. Performance Division This level allows dancers to have many more performance opportunities. We continue to focus on artistry and musicality, strength and coordination, as well as preciseness and power of the different parts of class from adagio to petite allegro. At this level dancers are executing more challenging combinations. The Performance Division allows the dancers to be on-stage and bring this art form from within themselves to the audience. Open Division This division is offered to children, teens, and adults with previous dance training or for those just becoming acquainted with the art of dance. The Open Division offers a flexible schedule to those that do not wish to or are unable to fulfill the requirements of the academic program. Students may choose classes to fit their particular dance and fitness goals. Open Division students may participate from Level II through Performance Division and any of the Open Classes offered.

To guarantee placement in our 2012/2013 school year, please complete the School Registration,
Policy and Waiver Agreement and Medical Authorization forms and Include the $25 registration fee. Placement will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. |
